It was two years ago August that i began a journey to become an Emergency Medical Technician.... Of course that changed to becoming a Paramedic a few months into it. I'm happy and overjoyed to announce that the journey is almost over. Well, the hard part is done. Yesterday I received a call from my instructor stating that I had successfully completed the Paramedic Program at TCC. It feels like this has been the longest year of my life but now that it's over it feels very anti-climactic.
The past two weeks I have enjoyed employment with Leon County EMS. That is actually where i'm writing my post from (on the truck where there is free Wifi!). Now i have to send of some paperwork to the Florida Department of Health so that I can take the State Boards. After that is taken and passed I will be able to start working for Leon as a Medic.
Not only will I be able to work as a Medic, I can now focus more on my home life. (my husband is excited about that). It looks like we will be moving to a new apartment next month and we will be spending our one year anniversary in Connecticut with my family (one of my many cousin's is getting married).

That is about it for now. Gotta get back to work. =)

My interview with LCEMS was this morning. I think that it went pretty well. Most of the people that were interviewing me (3 people in each of the two rooms) I knew already or they at least recognized me. I should be hearing back in a few days. Now i get to hurry up and wait.
I have 9 weeks of school left as of this week. I have 5 case studies to write and 1 research paper. Not looking forward to any of that but at least school is almost over.
I am also looking forward to the XA reunion this weekend. Lovella is coming up from New Port Richey for it and staying a few nights at my house.
